*bzzzzpt!*

Ever go some place mundane (like the grocery store) where, when you walk in, you just get bombarded by chaotic and unfriendly energy levels and rude, selfish people -throughout the whole store? How do you react? Do you even notice the change in energy -the “vibe”? I do, and I don’t like to admit it, but it usually bowls me over; zapping my energy, my general good mood, affecting and utterly exhausting me on a multitude of levels. It’s an interesting thing to be reminded how sensitive to such nonphysical things one can be, even when one feels a bit out of touch with the higher self. It’s enough to question whether to pursue the path or not, since going forward only implies further sensitivity. But it’s not really a matter of being too sensitive to such things, but rather not being sensitive and disciplined enough in one’s studies! Caught on some mid-level of study, and caught off-guard and without the mental tools immediately available to deal with such overwhelming energies, I was simply unprepared to deal with it. It was there, but it overwhelmed me before I truly recognized it and could decide how to dissipate or transmute it – skills that generally come with more self-discipline and training.

So, it was yet another lesson in energy, and another reminder by the powers that be to continue -with diligence!- my metaphysical disciplines and studies! So off to the cushion I go… again.

Namaste.
