Brain test

Posted on October 24, 2007 By

As a metaphysician, I tend to be curious about pretty much everything – including intriguing little quizzes that try to convince me they can discern how my brain works by asking a few simple questions. This is my results:

You are Balanced-brained

That means you are able to draw on the strengths of both the right and left hemispheres of your brain, depending upon a given situation.

When you need to explain a complicated process to someone, or plan a detailed vacation, the left hemisphere of your brain, which is responsible for your ability to solve problems logically, might kick in. But if you were critiquing an art opening or coming up with an original way to file papers, the right side of your brain, which is responsible for noticing subtle details in things, might take over.

While many people have clearly dominant left- or right-brained tendencies, you are able to draw on skills from both hemispheres of your brain. This rare combination makes you a very creative and flexible thinker.

The down side to being balanced-brained is that you may sometimes feel paralyzed by indecision when the two hemispheres of your brain are competing to solve a problem in their own unique ways.

…. Interesting ….

Namaste.

    Hi Mystical!!!

I don’t think I am up to it to utilize both sides of my brain.. hee hee..

    I would love to though.

How’s things? Have not see you around my humble blog this week.

  2. WaterLearner – so glad you stopped by!

I am fine, thanks! – just getting pulled back in to the physical aspects of life on this plane once more, without enough time to make visits to my friends and favorite sites/blogs… or to think through the articles which are half-written enough to post them here. Thank you for asking and for noticing my relative absence!

    Namaste!

  3. DERICK says:

    hello,
besides using both hemispheres it is especially difficult when one has the clash of the titans—left against –right and the journey in trying to accomodate both spheres without saying goodbye to either one or losing the plot completely and saying tata to both and not even realising that they are gone.
fortunately i did not let go of either one—but there was a moment not so long ago where that was a distinct possibility.
    thanks for the posting

  4. It sounds like you too are fairly balance-brained, Derick! Speaking from personal experience, there are times when it would be almost nice to not have the competition between the two sides, but the balance between the hemispheres does permit a certain flexibility that being heavily left- or right-brained may not provide.
