Duke it out!
My Human side has been fighting my Divine side quite vehemently the last couple of days. “I” am caught in the middle and it feels like I’ve been run over by a truck! The Divine side is amazed to see how corrupted the Human side has become over the years of living here, surrounded by the culture, attitudes, belief systems, ego-based attitudes, etc. The Human side seems to think it’s dominant. It has been conditioned to believe that is the case, and it’s having a tough time sharing! Yikes!
Really, it’s a coping mechanism. All of us who are naturally sensitive, inclined towards and/or OF the Light have had to find ways of living within the structures and confines of our societies and their expectations. We have had to come to terms with Humanity’s definitions of everything. Even if those definitions didn’t “fit”, feel right or work for us, basic survival on this plane demands a level of integration to the “norm”. And after a while, even if we know better, we start to believe these definitions are real. Or even if we don’t quite believe they’re real, they still affect us. Unfortunately, it’s part of the price we pay for being here.
With all this belief in a physical-based reality surrounding us, limiting us with arbitrary definitions of “reality” and “normalcy”, it can be difficult to even acknowledge the existence of our Divinity. Ironically, that’s precisely why it’s so important to not only acknowledge our Divinity, but to embrace it, let it out to play, and to Shine to your Brightest and Fullest capacity. There is more to life than the physical, and it is our job to illustrate it so others may more easily follow.
The balance between Spirit and Physicality is a living, dynamic thing. It is Yin and Yang… always changing, always moving, always evolving. One piece -physical or spiritual- without the other is incomplete. Only together are the pieces whole, and the interplay between them will bring balance and healing to this world, and to each of us.
And so, I ride out this current (little) turning of the circle, hope for a good night’s sleep and the ability to shine a little brighter again tomorrow.
*Namaste*
