(Re)Balance

Posted on July 31, 2007 By

As recently noted, I’ve been feeling rather ‘human’ the last few days – ungrounded, out of touch, and off-balance. My personal sense of balance seems to be returning once more, but it is awkward and uncomfortable to experience those reminders. So what happened? Well, I suspect those things mentioned in my last post, but also upon some reflection, ego. My ego sneaked out and exerted a preference for Spirit, upsetting the balance between Spirit and Humanity. Ego, and a preference for one thing over another. Hmmmm… another lesson in balance and discipline, perhaps?

ImBalance

Posted on July 28, 2007 By

sriyantra.jpgIronic that the last article was about Balance when I’ve been feeling a bit off-balance the last few days: Unfocussed, out of touch with Spirit, physically and mentally tired, unmotivated and a tad overwhelmed, and just generally a bit out of sorts. It’s all been very mundane, very ‘human’. On a personal physical level, this little ‘bump’ may be borne of dietary changes, of hormonal fluctuations with my thyroid, of just needing a real break from daily responsibilities.

Balance

Posted on July 26, 2007 By

Our human minds and egos like to think of balance being a steady, constant thing that can be weighed and measured, but except in the context of physically weighing two objects in as controlled an environment as we can manage, it is largely untrue. The Universe is constantly changing, as are our perspectives and realities. In fact, the only universal constant is change. What passed for balance yesterday does not necessarily apply to today and the varying scopes of balance -in our personal lives, World-wide, Universal, etc.- are in constant flux as well. So then, what is true balance?

Reflect within…

Posted on July 24, 2007 By

waterside-grass.pngA thought for the day, as I deal with fatigue and finish writing an extra long (2-3 installment) post…

If you reflect within yourself and find nothing to be ashamed of, how could you have anxiety or fear.

Out the Window

Posted on July 21, 2007 By

Throw it out!!
All of it…
Right out the Window!

All you think you believe,
All you believe you think,
All that you think exists,
Throw it out!

Most of what you believe to be true,
Most of what you perceive to be reality,
… is gone …
Out the window!

Preconceived notions
No longer apply.
Changes are coming
And old notions of what is,
What was,
What can be,
Must be thrown out the window
To let in a new Light,
A new reality,
A new phase of existence
For humankind,
For the Earth.

Alone no more are we,
Separated from ourselves,
Separated from the Earth,
Or from the universe.
Artificial boundaries cease to exist
And new alliances are forged once more.

But we must let go
Of the old,
Of the mistaken,
Of the archaic,
To embrace a new reality
Of passion and compassion,
Of joy and love and selfless acts.

Let go of selfishness,
Let go of pride
They gain you nothing.

Knowing vanity and violence leads us astray
For what are we if we can not love ourselves?

Let go
Of preconceived ideas
And thoughts set by society.
They are dictatorships no more.

Think. Feel. Do. Be.
All is there
For the taking, for the asking.
Just listen.

Embrace yourself,
Your brethern,
Your planet,
Your universe.

Open your heart and feel the divinity within.
The universe is there for the taking,
If only you have the spirit to fly!

Let GO!

Fire the Grid

Posted on July 20, 2007 By

Ok, so I’m a couple days late to participate in the coordinated meditation for this, but there is much yet to come. This is part of the ‘greater work’ for humanity that I’ve been sensing, seeing, and referencing on this blog for months now. This is part of humanity’s evolution…

“As we move into the new vibrational time we are defining what kind of world we desire to be our final outcome in 2012. The energy we are transmitting at the time of this great energy transition will define the new time to come. What kind of humanity and earth do we want to present to the universe. Who do we consciously intend to be for the new time? This will be the first time in our human evolution where we will consciously choose our path. So no matter what method you choose to use or who you choose to sit with; the ultimate defining moment for each of us during this process is, are we holding love and optimism in our hearts as this cosmic event facilitates our vibrational lift.”
-Shelley, Fire the Grid

Please take some time to read through the web site, reflect on your joys and love, and declare your intent to help. We need to touch as many beings as we can with this effort to make the necessary changes, to spin humankind out of a downward spiral and into the light, evolving to a new consciousness. This is our future. This is our Now. Our Reality is what we make it…

Please help to FIRE THE GRID.

Namaste.

Breast Cancer Patient Protection Act

Breast Cancer Patient Protection

I am posting this for Women’s Health and Women’s Rights, and sincerely hope you join me in signing the petition to get this protective legislation passed. Please take a moment to read through the information about this bill and to sign the petition. Health care is a personal thing, specific to the individual. Care should be determined by the patient and by the doctor – not dictated and automatically restricted by insurance companies’ policies.

There’s a bill called the Breast Cancer Patient Protection Act which will require insurance companies to cover a minimum 48-hour hospital stay for patients undergoing a mastectomy. It’s about eliminating the ‘drive-through mastectomy’ where women are forced to go home just a few hours after surgery, against the wishes of their doctor, still groggy from anesthesia and sometimes with drainage tubes still attached.

The Words We Choose

Posted on July 15, 2007 By

Words, whether written or spoken, are a large part of communication between individuals of our species. Non-verbal body language and our metaphysical impressions account for additional pieces of the communication experience, but it is our words on which we consciously rely the most and which provide perhaps the most obvious insight into our intimate thoughts and beliefs. If we are aware of the words we use, they become tools to help us change our perspectives and, consequently, our realities. But how aware of them, and their hidden meanings, are we?

Having the Heart

Posted on July 14, 2007 By

Heart. It means a lot of things, in a variety of contexts, and all of them are essential to our health and well-being.

Physically of course, the heart is the organ located in the torso of our human body and is responsible for pumping oxygenated blood throughout our physical form. It is a powerful muscle that with some care and exercise (i.e.: aerobics & healthy diet), stays healthy and allows us to live and to flourish physically. Without it, well… we simply can not retain human form and we cease to exist on this plane.
